Koob is a
great backyard game for kids and families. Take Koob to reunions
and beach parties - more fun than bocce or croquet.
This is what two
moms have said about Koob:
“Took my boys out today (ages 12 and 6), and we were
playing inside of 5 minutes from set-up. The boys and I absolutely
LOVE it! Thanks so
much for introducing us to this marvelous game.” Lynn (Salt Lake City,
UT)
“Great service!
The carrying bag is very handy. We have enjoyed the
game.” Elinor (Kansas City,
MO)
Koob
originated in Viking times – probably on the island of Gotland in
the Baltic Sea. One
story tells us that Viking families played with firewood on the
beach. Whatever the
origins of Koob, the game today is very popular in Europe,
especially in Sweden.
Koob is a backyard activity
that can involve as many as 12 people or as few as 2. The game sets up on grass,
sand, snow, or dirt simply by pacing off an area 5 yds. X 8
yds. Make the play
area smaller for new players or for younger kids. As skills develop, make
the game more challenging with a longer area.
For families, Koob accommodates
all skill levels. If
some players are more skilled than others, they can play a pace
behind the others on the team. This way everyone gets to
enjoy the game at their own level.
Take Koob along to your next
Family Reunion. Great
for age 8-80.
